King's Clinical Trials Unit at King's Health Partners:
The King’s Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) helps research teams throughout the country carry out clinical trials safely and to a high scientific standard, and offers a range of services to help ensure the results are accurate and credible. The Unit’s services are available to researchers, throughout King’s Health Partners (KHP) and also across the UK.
The CTU is part of the Department of Biostatistics and is led by Professor Andrew Pickles, Head of Department and Professor of Biostatistics and Psychological Methods. The KCTU Unit Manager is Caroline Murphy a qualified nurse by training who specialised in neuroscience and palliative care before working as a research nurse and trial manager on a number of both commercial and academic-led projects both in the UK and internationally.

KCTU SERVICES
The King's Clinical Trials Unit can now offer comprehensive support to trials across all disease areas in King's Health Partners which are funded by NIHR HTA, NIHR EME, NIHR SDO, NIHR PHR, NIHR HSR. Other trials may be accepted onto the portfolio for comprehensive support on a case by case basis - please contact Caroline Murphy at caroline.murphy@kcl.ac.uk to discuss.
The CTU offers a competitively priced discrete services (see below, such as web based randomisation or web based electronic data capture using the InferMed MACRO system) which any trial across King's Health Partner or externally may access.
